Jodie's continued twist!!!!!!!!

Hey people,

Today I'm off to a picnic, so before I leave it's time to feed the next chapter for Jodie our heartbroken friend, who is on the mend slowly but surely.

For those of you who haven't kept up with Jodie, she is my friend LJ's friend from London, we met her a few times. She was in a 15 year relationship with her high school sweetheart and he cheated on her, yes the scumbag.

Anyway she met someone while she was going through this and I wrote about her story as it was happening, we got through their first date and her run in with him in a salsa class, where he turned out to be the instructor. Also their first kiss which was magical. 

So far everything was going well, they were flirting and having a great time on the phone, as it goes Jodie's life is full of bad surprises. A few weeks of dating and getting to know this Mr Mystery, things were going to take a new twist in all of this, something was going to throw a spanner in the works.

One day after Jodie came home after work, she gets a call from her dad saying he would like to come over. She found that odd as her dad never pops by, he always calls her over to her parents house. She just thought he's probably worried, as she hasn't been over in a few days.

Jodie's phone ring's, yes it was My Mystery, asking if he could see her that night , so she agrees to meet him after 9 pm for a drink. Jodie was on a new high in life and to hear that is a bonus for me, I'm a sucker for happy people. Jodie is picking a saucy outfit for her date, with music playing and the atmosphere bringing her spirits high and then the door bell rings. Jodie walks over to answer the door, she sees her dad in front of her, with a big smile she leans forward to give him a hug.

Jodie's dad is a well groomed posh daddy, so he's standing in front of her and steps aside, behind him is standing her ex boyfriend looking depressed. He had grown a stubble and looked so happy to see her, well Jodie looked as though a bus had hit her. She had just finally got him out of her mind and there he was at her door, not alone but with her dad.

Jodie's dad said, "look honey don't be mad he didn't want to upset you, I asked him over", she looked at her dad with tears in her eyes as though he brought the bad memories back to her door. She told LJ that she got flashbacks of the whole situation and felt this just wasn't the right time. 

She stepped back letting them in, as she loves her farther a lot and didn't want to disrespect him. They came in and sat down, Jodie never spoke the whole time, she stood there silent and waited for her dad to explain, what was he doing at her door with her ex. 

Her dad said "look honey I know how this all has has affected you, and deep down I now you guys love each other a lot, this is not worth throwing away 15 years of love for". Jodie listened and then spoke after a long time of silence, she said "dad I love you with all my heart, but what he did to me had destroyed me, you know this because your my dad, so tell me why would you bring him to my door without asking me how I feel".

Her dad looked stunned at her response, then her ex had to open his mouth saying "look Jo baby", well Jodie turned towards him with so much anger and said "don't you dare call me that your nothing to me, the day you cheated was the day those rights were taken from you, so watch your mouth under my roof".

Well personally I never knew Jodie could have a voice, she seems like the quiet type, even LJ thought she would just be very welcoming if her ex came back. Well she wasn't taking none of it, so her ex adds "Jodie look I know what I did was wrong, but when you threw me out and blocked me out of your life I realized I'm nothing without you". He went on to tell her how he doesn't want her to forgive him just a chance to be friends again and maybe earn a small place in her life again.

After being very angry, her dad kept insisting, just meet him a few times and see how you feel, her ex cried so much, she told LJ it was like crying a river and Jodie is a softy. So she agreed to think about it but no promises, her head felt messed up again and I don't blame her at all. Just as she finally gets her head together a new twist is messing with her, I hope she finds peace one way or the other.

Her dad left and said "why don't you guys talk and I will see you at home, I love you honey and I just want you to be happy that's all". They said their goodbyes and she walked to her living room with her ex there. She felt awkward and not the same, he had a lot of regret and love in his eyes, but her eyes told a different story. Her pain was coming to the top again and she looked very upset which he could tell, so he walked to her and told her he was still madly in love with her and has realized, that it was a huge mistake and he wanted to give her the world.

But she stepped back and told him, that she had said she will think about it, so he should leave her to think about it. So he leaned forward to kiss her cheek and she turned her face away, he then smiled and said "I will win you back even if it kills me". She looked into his eyes and looked away, he then left.

Once the door shut, Jodie went upstairs all contained and walked into the bathroom turned the shower on, went to her bathroom mirror looked at herself and tears started rolling down her eyes. It all became fresh, her broken heart and her love, innocence being destroyed, she was crying and walked into the shower with her clothes on and just sat there crying her eyes out.

I think even though she was distracted, she has a lot of pain to release and blocking it all wasn't helping. So this kind of helped her let it all out, she cried for half an hour till her eyes were raw red. She finally came out the shower and dried herself up, then lay in bed in her robe, tears still rolling down her eyes and just thinking, what good or bad she must have done to deserve this all.

While she was in bed her phone started ringing and it was Mr Mystery, Jodie in all of this forgot about him and her date. So she looked at her phone and let it ring she wasn't in any mood of explaining anything to anyone, she put her phone on silent and lay in bed crying herself to sleep.

The next morning she got up looking as though she had been punched in her eyes, she looked in the mirror and laughed at her state, Jodie is a soldier in my eyes she just keeps on going. Jodie looked at her phone, she had 15 missed calls and 5 messages from Mr Mystery asking if she was ok.

She just couldn't face the questions so she ignored her phone, I think sometimes you need to back off from all this and take time to relax, that's exactly what she was doing. Her phone also had some love filled messages from her ex, she just deleted them and payed no attention to what he was saying either.

Jodie stayed in her pajamas and ate ice-cream with lots of junk, that's a women's coping mechanism. We either eat our way to death, or we don't eat at all also causing death, I know total exaggeration, but you all know it's one or the other. Anyway she gets a knock on the door, Jodie thought it was the pizza she had ordered, as she was in no mood of cooking.

She walks to open the door and it's Mr Mystery oh my dear god, she told LJ she was looking like a train crash, she had red eyes from crying food stains on her gown and half dressed. Could her luck get any worse, he said "hey lovey where have you been", clearly Jodie was embarrassed, I mean she looks a state. Every women's nightmare was becoming her reality in everything.

She was lost for words, so he just walked in and she let him in, she told LJ she couldn't be rude and she didn't really have a choice. So he says "right well your eating junk, your in your pj's and a pizza delivery guy is coming up to your door whats going on" . She was like what is this guy?, like how does he know so much just by looking at her junk, I mean this guy knows his women stuff. 

Her bell rings and Mr Mystery just walks to the door gets the pizza and says "you can't eat pizza alone", she didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She told him she will be back, first thing which came to her mind was to get changed into something decent. So he again spoke and said "don't bother changing you look cute and the legs look great". She burst out laughing and so did he, she instantly felt comfortable and asked him if he wanted a drink.

He told her to sit down and went into her kitchen to get some glasses, he came back with some red wine and two glasses. He sat beside her and said now lets eat and get depressed together, she said "how do you know I'm depressed". He said "well your all great with me and then suddenly you dissappear, your the loyal type even to your job so how could you let me down on a date". He told her he had an idea that it must be something to do with her ex issues, so after they ate while drinking wine he asked her to tell him and that he is a good listener.

Jodie always feels so comfortable around him, she just felt as though she could tell him. He was the perfect friend/lover material, they talked till 2 am and they laughed so much, while talking to him she never felt like crying once. He looked into her eyes, this is while they are both tipsy, they were looking at each other very passionately and even though she had so many emotions from the past day, this one emotion which felt right.

You see the more she talks to Mr Mystery, the more she see's they so much alike, but one thing they both know is their is no future for them, so why not enjoy the moment. Now they are looking into each other eyes, and he leans forward to kiss her, this time she feels like she wants to go for it. So they share a passionate kiss, Jodie says the way he touches her and holds her is magical. 

I just hope she keeps her mind clear, because even Mr Mystery has a complicated life and there seems like there can never be nothing but fun and living for the moment for them. LJ keeps telling Jodie that she needs to concentrate on herself, Jodie says she is but she feels a pull towards this guy for more reasons then one. 

For me I would say enjoy it but don't get emotional, as heartbreak can be a painful experience and she has already lost herself once. Jodie needs to just think he is a nice guy and that's it, but LJ says she is afraid the way she talks about him, that she may fall for him even though she may not of now.

I don't know lets see what happens, because when you hear the next part you will think what the hell is Jodie like a bad luck magnet.

Anyway let's not get depressed, her life may get better but only time will tell.
