Topshop hot picks for my ladies!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon people,

 

Today I have a spring in my step , one thing about Dubai is the surroundings and weather gives you reason to smile. I thought I would kick start, with some hot picks from Topshop. Hold on, what am I listening to today, that's right I can't blog without music. So today its Connor Maynard- are you crazy, oh yes have a listen ladies you will love it.

I went passed Topshop, and the window just pulled me in, usually Topshop has overly edgy outfits and doesn't cater for everyone. I used to shop there in my younger days, and in the past few years the outfits were overly edgy even for me.

The pieces I picked out are all from Topshop and are hot, some reasonably priced and casual. I got a selection of it all, the colors which got my attention were white and autumn colors like maroon. I saw some bright colors as well, but if you look at the ones I have picked, they are definitely buyable and great looks.

Starting with this belly top style jumper at 275 AED, now this can be worn with jeans with a t-shirt, this on top it looks very stylish and trendy.

 
The next piece is a lime green florescent blazer at 425 AED, I love this style, it can be worn with any color outfits. All black with this on top would look great and stand out, as long as you don't add too much color underneath it should look great. This blazer is vibrant and speaks out, so keep the rest calm.

 

We have talked about Sweat tops before, and here I found one costing around 300 AED. It has a netted design on the neck and looks awesome, I love the white color. Normally wearing too much white makes a women look wider, but I thought this sweat top looked great. This can be worn with any color trouser or jeans, a cool casual look. Point to be noted is a strapless bra needs to be worn with this top, because bra straps will look tacky.

 

I hope you liked these picks, I am also adding some nicer dresses for going out, these are for all you ladies who complain of a jelly belly.

 

 

This dress was so flowy and gorgeous and costs 425 AED, not bad. I love these lace arms they felt comfortable, for those who don't like wearing sleeveless this is the perfect dress. Just add leggings and you will look like a cute,

sassy princess. Hair up or down goes fine, but please don't wear flats, this will look nice with heels of any height. It's the best dress for a tummy problem, it covers all of that. 

 

 

This dress is absolutely gorgeous so simple but classy costing around 500 AED, can be worn day or on a night out. Its knee length and flows so well around the mid section of the body, for ladies with bat wings. We all know we have them, this would give you an overall slimmer look, leggings for leg conscious ladies. Overall this dress is beautiful for dinner or partying.

 

Last but not least is my Roman goddess inspired dress, costing a whopping 1500 AED. I know its overly priced, I completely agree but its absolutely gorgeous. The back is so amazing, the shoulders have very delicate beading detail, so that's why it costs so much.
I love the length and the feel, the design absolutely everything about it. The only thing I can criticize is the price.  For some this will be the main reason not to buy, there's so many dresses you can buy in that price, but if possible this is a classy buy for a special occasion.

Don't let your fears overcome you!!!!!

Hey world,

Hope your all well and feeling happy wherever you are, as you can see we are going to talk fears. The thing about us women is, we spend too much time worrying about what could happen, we stop living for today. I am the sort of person who wants to live this life to the fullest, and take everyday as it comes.

From experiences in my life, I have learned to stop fearing anything but my creator, I mean what's the worst that can happen?, your fear will come alive. You can bet if you keep thinking about your worst fears they will happen, that fear will overcome you and destroy you.

I was talking to one of my friends who doesn't live the moment, because she fears what is coming. Life is not that long, to waste a second on thinking what could happen. Fill yourself with positive thoughts, and don't let any fears reside within you. The chances are once it happens, it will leave you in pieces.

I remember there was this job I really wanted, after the interview I feared I wasn't going to get it. I was making myself ill in thinking I won't get the job, I waited 2 weeks for a reply. I stalked the manager by calling to ask if she was there hahaha, oh don't judge, all you ladies do something like that sometime in your life. I didn't get the job, then I spent 2 weeks depressing myself about why I didn't get it. For god sake, look 4 weeks wasted, thinking about something I can't change.

Stop over thinking about things which aren't in your control, rather then thinking negatively, change your mindset to positive. If it doesn't go your way then at least you didn't stress yourself about it, that's after you get bad news. If you do, then think there is something better coming your way. Stop stressing yourselves out and everyone around you.

Make yourself happy, doesn't matter what it is, do it because life isn't worth living miserably. When my daughter behaves ungrateful I tell her, "there are people out there with no money, no food, no clean water, and you want to be ungrateful for not having a toy". She gets it straight away and so should you. I know your thinking easier said then done Sam, no actually I am preaching what I have practiced.

Everyone goes through a tough journey in their lives, I have had my fair share of the good the bad, and the ugly. I have come out an iron lady with a smile. I want to appreciate, and love the people who are there for me. Live this life smiling, I refuse to let money, problems and stress take my smile away, I love being happy and making people laugh. No sir no I won't become weak.

So take life as it comes, I don't think about tomorrow. When tomorrow comes and I made it there,I will give it a thought. Stress can give you anxiety, depression and so many health problems, I personally had anxiety issues a few years ago. I used to get palpitations from stress, couldn't breathe and felt I would die any moment.

So trust me in 29 years I have seen it all, and I don't talk books studies and psychology, I say it as I saw it. That's why I am so confident, behind my exterior is so much, been there done that worn the t-shirt. I lived through a lot of ups and downs.

Those who know me say I am so strong, but I have become this way. I tell myself to build a bridge, and get over it haha. Seriously don't look at someone who looks like they have it all, and think they got it on a plate. They lived through their highs and lows, and made it to success with a journey, and a story to tell.

So the moral of this story is stay happy, and beam with confidence. Don't fear anything, because fearing means you let your fears run your life. Smile because it doesn't cost anything.

Me my gorgeous friend adriana, and Dubai!!!!!

Last night I thought I need to go out and relax, so it was a eventful night. Introducing my gorgeous friend Adriana, I met Adriana when I lived in JBR, which stands for Jumeirah Beach Residents.

Here's me sitting poolside with a water melon juice getting in the zone, and wait for it the music of the blog is holy grail JT.

It was a good night I was so relaxed, we laughed so much talked about the good, bad and ugly, Adriana reads a lot and always tell me the latest research and studies she comes across, mainly she reads about psychology of the female mind. What we were laughing about, she told me how we work and how women need to work around it, but she never listens to the advice. I was helping her calm herself but she said, "Sam I know your right but I won't listen, that's how I work". We laughed so much about that, Adriana is very quiet and to those who don't know her. She is so lovely and super intelligent, beauty with brains.

               

 

 

 

We got to Al Manzil at 9.30, and didn't get a table until 10pm, we were looked after so much. The waiter who we always look forward to seeing Adrain, he had the same name as Adriana. They are also both from Romania, so they had a short conversation in Romanian. I asked Adrian can I take a picture of him to put on the blog he was happy to, he said he will ask his family to check him out on the blog. So hello to all of Adrian's family from Sam.

 

If you all visit, tell Adrian Sam wrote about your service being amazing, because he puts the S in customer Service haha.

 

 

 

 

Here you go the lovely Adrian at Al Manzil, he is the best waiter I have come across in Dubai.

 

After Al Manzil Adriana had a friend at the Crowne Plaza, Sensations on Sheikh Zayed road, We popped in for half an hour to say hi, and I got lots of pictures to show you, and the atmosphere was good. The music was RNB and hip hop, the only bad thing was the crowd was very young, we felt old and out of place, apart from the music there wasn't much to hang around for.

 

 

 

There's always dancers in all the clubs who come out to play now and then, now I don't bat for the other side if you know what I mean, but they have hot bodies and dressed skimpy so it's a sight to experience.

 

Anyway you can Imagine how good it was, I came home and knocked out woke up relaxed, sometimes going out with your buddies makes you feel relaxed so throw away your worries, put on a nice dress ladies and go have some girl time with your besty's. Because life is about living and being happy if you haven't got that you got nothing.

 

Wear the sexiest thing you have ladies, by that I mean your gorgeous smile, it's the best accessory you own, no one can take that from you.

Outfits of today!!!!

Hey world,

How are you all doing, I will start today by saying a big thank you for your messages and love. You all motivate me to write more, and I'm so happy that what I say is enjoyed by you all.

Now enough of that soppy stuff lets get to clothes, and now your wondering what is she listening to while she's blogging hahaha, let me tell you, its Ellie Goulding - Burn, yeh baby she makes me want to shake what my mamma gave me. And between you and me I love Jason Derulo's - talk dirty to me oh yes, these days that's my tune when my daughters not around.

Anyway lets talk about my out fit today, I wore a horizontal stripped bodice dress, its a midi dress, these were all the rage in England when I was there. Now they have full sleeved dresses like this for the winter. This dress looks great on and feels comfortable, but no don't bother having a feast with this outfit, because that will blow your belly out like you can't imagine, just saying it how we know it ladies.

 

This dress is from Dorothy Perkins, the cost is a bargain, I got this for 20 British pounds oh yes, looking good doesn't cost much, casual should be cheap and cheerful. River Island and Topshop are both doing these dresses in plain colors with full arms for winter. To be honest don't look at brand and cost, if something looks good and speaks to you try it then buy it. My best advice is take a picture from your phone, if you like what you see from your own point of view buy it. You are your own worst critic, you always give yourself the hardest time possible so if you like it then it's a good buy.

 

I hear and see people buy designer, and it doesn't always look nice, but I look at a item of clothing as how great I can make it look. Sometimes I don't care how much it cost's high or low as long as it looks good. Never buy for the sake of it being designer, even if everyone's wearing it. What suits others may not suit you so try it and snap with your phone and decide.

 

 

I am in love with this double Breasted Blazer, its navy blue with golden buttons, it's fitted so it would look great with shorts, jeans or trousers. I can see this look great in so many ways, so for winter or summer this blazer will go a long way.

As its the weekend I won't add too many posts, and hope I was able to give some light inspiration.

LJ's penthouse view, and some heart break!!!

Hey my lovely people,

How is your weekend going, for my international readers yay it's the weekend coming up. Today I want to show you where I was last night, and some girl talk as promised.

Yesterday I got a call from LJ, she told me for her birthday, she got a sea view pent house as a gift. She didn't sound so happy, I expected her to sound like I felt when I heard it, I asked her why she sounded so down. She told me her husband sent her the keys through an agent, rather then her husband being here to gift it to her, the agent took her to the house for the first time. She sounded so low I had to see her, so I went to give her some love and support.

Her bedroom she says she wants a change I thought it looked awesome as it is.

Well I was gob smacked look at that, her house in Jumeirah Islands was amazing anyway, now she has another one sea view top floor, and just mind blowing everything.
I see her point though, you can have all the money in the world but a lonely heart is like a lifeless body. I gave her a big hug and let her release her pain, her husband is now away for an extra 2 weeks, she thinks he may not love her anymore. To be honest I give up on the male mindset, it baffles me everyday so I told her no way but she had more to tell me.

Months ago LJ introduced me to her friend called Jodie from England, when she came to Dubai on holiday. Nice looking girl and very private, she is LJ's childhood friend. Well she just told LJ she broke up with her boyfriend of 15 years, the reason was unknown to LJ but Jodie told her, she was cheated on 2 years ago and they broke up, it gets worse he cheated with her best friend.

Oh my god I was in shock myself, stories like this make me sick to my stomach, so I can't imagine how she was feeling. Well now LJ is suspecting her husband as he is away all the time, but I told her we can't think it will happen to us if it happens to someone.

The story gets worse and worse, she actually caught them together when she came home one day, and she started shaking and fainted in shock.
She told LJ she was in shock for a month and couldn't even speak, it hit her really hard as they just got engaged to marry before she found out.

Why the hell do men do things like this, makes me sick to my stomach, is it so hard to stay faithful and love your women?, who by the way is faithful to you. She went off the rails when she found out, she lost herself was drunk all the time and couldn't come to her senses. It took her 8 months to smile again, she developed a eating disorder and was hospitalized, because she was drinking on an empty stomach.

LJ was so emotional that Jodie didn't tell her before, she told her now on Skype. She was already feeling low I think this news for her wasn't the right time. I don't blame Jodie for telling her but I see why this is killing LJ, imagine being away from your husband all the time, and your childhood friend tells you this tragedy of her life, you think I'm next.

Well Jodie is mentally sane now and back to work, she smiles now but her story is very interesting as well. She met a guy and seems to be happier, he's a bit complicated but cute, apparently when she's with him she is herself again they aren't dating yet but she says they have amazing chemistry, good for her after what she went through I'm glad she is able to feel again.

There is a lot to tell about her but I can't tell you all now, it's a saucy story along with tears, I am saving that for another day, because we feel her emotions so much, I know you ladies will love her.

By the way her mystery man smells good and dresses well, makes her feel sexy and alive, I think we have heard enough good going Jodie. Its like her Mr Big from SATC. I will do a blog just about them as I know you ladies would want a man like him, she says he is a friend and a tease so I will let you do the thinking on Mr. mystery.

Dress for today!!!!!!!!!!

Hey people,

I thought today needed some fashion inspiration, so I went to Zara this week and saw some amazing outfits. There were blazers and trousers, all very nice but I picked a dress to try on, and take a picture of. On me I loved this dress it's so pretty, for Dubai it's wearable as our winters aren't so bad. I will be putting some warmer outfits, for the international chica's, but I have to share this dress with you guys.

 



This dress cost's 350 AED from the Zara basics range, its plain pink and I like its simplicity, if you want to change it, a belt can be worn and heels or flats are both doable. A nice necklace and hair in a side bun or down both can be done.

 

Very casual but gorgeous, I love this one for sure and hope you ladies agree.

Tomorrow will put up more of my favorite picks.

How are you all, I am great and in the grove of writing today. My song playing in the background today while I blog is Drake oh yes baby, he's the man to get you into the mood. It's his new song-  just hold on, yes Drake I'm holding on, ladies you know you love him and his music.

Anyway coming to the point, I haven't talked about make-up with you ladies as yet. So lets chat MAC, Mac is a well known brand for all my ladies.
I am a Mac pro member so yes I get 40% discount in Mac, No I can't get you discount hahaha, only because it's for professional use. But this means I can tell you yay or nay, about certain products.

The foundation I am writing about is fairly new Match master, numbers of your skin color range from 1-10. I am a 5, your color is dependent on whether you want to look tanned or fair. This has SPF 15 as well, so some sun protection.

Living in Dubai you need heat protection, and a non drip foundation which can withstand the heat. Well when I first moved here it was August, peak heat 40 degrees plus, and my foundation stayed flawless no lines nothing. My Hair was going wild and frizzy but my skin looked and felt great.

Here's another miracle concealer, I use this after I apply foundation under the eyes, we all get lines under the eyes throughout the day well this concealer helps tackle that. It dries up the foundation enough to conceal and gives a smooth look, so you don't have to clear up the lines under your eyes.

The name is Pro-longwear concealer, cost's about 90-100 dirhams or so in Dubai, its my best buy, all the make-up videos they use this product. If you have dry skin try to avoid using too much, and in the winters may not need as much.

Hope all you ladies found this helpful, because trust me this foundation gives you a flawless look and stays on come rain or shine.

Shakespeare Cafe Marina Mall.....

Hello again,

Let's talk about the Shakespeare café as I went there yesterday and will be today, there are 3 Shakespeare cafe's in Dubai. There's one on Jumeirah Beach road, Dubai Mall and my personal favorite is the Marina Mall.

Marina mall Shakespeare has an amazing view and the best place for breakfast, you have all the options, from healthy to full English.

With every breakfast you get a juice and coffee or tea, I was so thirsty so I had a water melon juice, orange juice and water. I had run my ass off, I needed liquids plus it was warm.

Guess what they serve shisha there as well, no I didn't have any as I'm cutting back, trying to loose another stone so that's another story we can talk about later.

The interior of the café, is Shakespeare inspired and makes you feel like your in those times, every time we have guests come over from England, we take them there for breakfast. My family have fallen in love with this Shakespeare as I did, the desserts are absolutely amazing, I haven't tried them too many calories but they look yum.

 

The crow in the picture joined us for breakfast, he kept on cawking at me, when I tried to scare it away he started hissing at me. I was like damn no messing with this crow, if you follow me on Instagram there's a video of this monster.

 

Anyway I'm just chilling listening to Flo Rida's new song - Can't believe it featuring Pitball, listen to this song and shake your asses ladies and love yourself, love and peace out to my ladies.......

Love yourself or no one will.

Hello again,

Today I want to talk about something deep, as the title is love yourself lets talks about it.

We women, no matter what size we become, can never be happy, when you are the size you want, you find another flaw in yourself.

I personally have my flaws but yes I love myself, what's not to love. What I mean by that is, I have so much love to give, I am funny at the best of times. I like to have a good time, and making people smile is my specialty, because that's what life is about. Oh and I think I look alright as well, I like to look at my assets not my flaws.

Flaws are fixable, so when someone says you have good skin, or you have a nice body etc., you need to learn to take the compliment. The very normal reply seems to be, "oh no my ass is so big, I haven't got a good body". People don't give compliments for no reason.

The reply shouldn't be vain, but should be, "thank you so much your so sweet", a reply of that sort shows your confidence. A confident women is a very sexy thing, and you will love yourself for it.

So what if your tummy is a bit jelly, and your nose is slightly pointy who cares. You walk in the room loving yourself the way you are, the chances of your man, or a man loving you are sky high.

Pay attention to yourself make the best of what you have, big eyes use mascara, thick hair have them re-styled. Look at yourself carefully and enhance your beauty, within your comfort zone. If you live in Dubai, most of you have no excuse, we have the help so what's stopping us.

And those international working mums I salute you, not only do you go to work, you cook clean and handle the kids. There should be an award for women like that, because I have the upmost respect for them. I am a housewife myself, so lots of love and respect for those of you who run the house, because as easy as we make it look, it's a tough job.

If your wearing flats, the transition to heels will be difficult but not impossible. Start with kitten heels, or wedges, baby steps and then confidence will come along itself.

So slowly but surely bring your sexy back and remember love and respect yourself, and then the world will see you that way as well.

My aim isn't to make you think make-up, clothes and shoes are important, even though they are part of what makes us girls. But it's to love who you are, and how you look. Surgery isn't the answer there's cheaper ways to look great, I mean I love big lips, mine are small. I would go for Botox but I hate needles. 

Even then I won't change myself there's no need, someone once pointed out to me you like big lips for yourself, that's why you love them on your man. So true, I would love to have them but mine are doing just fine and I accept that. 

So practice being more confident in yourself, start by thanking the person for the compliment and look like you mean it, don't look unsure. 

Don't give yourself a hard time about your weight, work for it and you can slim down, but don't go for size zero, you will look like a hanger for your clothes. 

The average women is a size 14 and that's not a bad thing, it's just fine to be who you are, but love yourself ladies because your beautiful inside out. As for physical appearance, that can be enhanced, it's not rocket science just vanity.

Marina running,and breakfast at shakespeare.....

Good afternoon world,

Hope your all well, and still enjoying my blog. Today I went for a run on the Marina, not only is the view absolutely amazing, but they have a running track around the water. There is goals for kilometers, so you know how much your running. I went there with my friend, we have been saying we should run for 3 weeks, but never made it and today we did it.

Last night we were doing shisha till 1.30 am, so we were all saying we will go running, it didn't seem like we could have made it. Motivation is a hard thing to achieve, but once your out there you have done it. In the morning I get a message from one of the girls, saying she's too tired and won't be going. I thought yes, I can sleep after the school run, but the other friend sent me a written threat that I better be there. So I wasn't going to get her mad.

We parked our car and started running, Once your in the zone of training it just happens. We can't complain, I mean check this view out wouldn't you want to run, this and good weather.

If you come to Dubai you should definitely visit the Marina, it's so beautiful during the day, and much more amazing at night with all the lights sparkling.

 

We also went to the Shakespeare café for breakfast, we had the healthy breakfast with juices, it was delicious. Now I have showered and sitting writing how much my legs ache, but the view was smashing weather was great and we had good fun.

Fauchon Paris cafe review......

I was at the MOE after the breakfast, doing blog work. So after I had done I felt like a skinny latte. Fauchon Paris café, in the mall of emirates was calling me, so I thought I should pop in to relax myself. Why not share this sassy café/restaurant with you.

Fauchon Paris, serves drinks hot and cold, food and chocolates, the food is good for lunch and snacks. It's a very trendy place to go with your friends, the prices are a little high but it's good to try. 

You get a little chocolate with every hot drink, I enjoyed my time there and the coffee was good. 

 

I thought I would show you how it looks, there is also another Fauchon Paris Café in the Dubai mall. It can be located in Fashion Avenue, and is opposite the Armani Café, that's another café I will soon write about.

These are the chocolates they sell, beautifully boxed, a good gift idea for special occasions.

If you haven't been its worth trying, I like it myself hope you do.
