Penguins the Movie Review

Hi there. Now I know in this post I should be talking about fashion by now but I promise I will in my next post after this, I have to share this movie and my experience with you because its going to have you laughing for sure.

By looking at the poster ,like any parent you would think yes it looks like a good movie and kids can watch it -well that's what we thought.

It went something like this, I just came back from England after a long vacation, like everyone else, I wanted to meet my friends from my daughter's school, so we decided to take them to watch a movie. What we wanted to do is sit them down in the movie and go to Costa in the MOE which was close by.

We bought them nachos, drinks and booster seats, sat them down and ran for coffee. Ahhh, it was bliss having adult company and catching up. The phone rings from a mobile number we didn't recognize and the kids are screaming saying "we don't want to watch this movie we have come out", so my friend says "well we've paid and bought our coffees deal with it".

Thinking nothing of it, we wait for the third mum to arrive and she tells us she got the same call, we still ignored it, now I know this sounds bad but in our defense it looked like a cartoon so we couldn't have known any better.

Well we had our coffees lots of laughs and giggles and started walking to pick them up. When we got there the girls came running looking traumatized now that's no exaggeration -they looked scared. We asked what's happening they shouted together to each of their mums including me "mum it was horrible the movie was horrible we ran out half way through".

We again had a go at them saying "why you should have stayed till it finished you kids are so ungrateful there's people starving out there and you guys are complaining about a movie".

Well then my daughter with actions explains what she saw, "mum they were showing penguins giving birth", oh my God, I nearly died when she said that because the story I have told my daughter about babies is you buy them from hospitals and we're on the waiting list for one soon. Clearly I looked like a liar and a terrible parent by this point.

It got worse, they saw them be sick in the babies' mouths and poo and I think probably the baby making process was in there as well. Oh my God as I'm writing this I cant stop laughing and feeling bad for not doing my research.

Don't judge there was 3 of us and we didn't think, it was the only film on and we sent them in blindly. You will laugh when I tell you I didn't even read who the movie was by, David Attenborough well we all know he is the man who makes documentaries and that would have been the biggest clue. Overall the kids were traumatized and their eyes said it all. It doesn't actually finish there oh yes, the kids said "we ran out the cinema tried to get into another movie", the security guard told them they will call the police if they don't behave and then gave them a phone to call us from.

The child who knew her mums number was trying to tell us what's going on and we told them off oh no and the worst part is none of the kids had a phone and when we got the call we didn't think where they were calling from.

Again, I will say all three mums didn't have a clue like me, all I could think and say to my daughter was sorry and please don't tell your dad or I'm dead meat.
The moral of the story is never put your kids in a movie without doing some research because it will turn around and hit you in the face hahahahaha oh God this story cracks me up every time I tell it, don't worry, my daughter forgot a week later and I am sorry for it. Never again.
