Hope your all well, and having a good Saturday, I'm totally relaxing in my jammy's, and no intention to go out. I'm listening to Shakira - loca loca loca,I'm in the Latin/Spanish mood today. The reason I'm staying in, is because last night I had the time of my life, oh yes.
I went out with some friends, it was a Brazilian restaurant called Fogueira. This restaurant has the complete package, good barbecued meat and delicious sides, thrilling entertainment. We didn't want to leave it was that great, this restaurant can be located in the Ramada Hotel JBR, its on the 35th floor. We just followed the Brazilian singer who was in the lift with us.
I am a simpleton when it comes to food,but since moving to Dubai, I have started to open my food pallet to a new range of cuisines. I have tried Thai, Chinese, Mongolian and Lebanese and so many more. But when the girls mentioned Brazilian I thought, why not lets try it, but I tell you I haven't had so many laughs and giggles for a while. When I first came to Dubai I only met a few friends, they are still as amazing as they were then. What I find is I am meeting more and more people that I get on with, and seem to have the same sense of humor as me, because for me, laughing till we cry is the best night out.
Coming to the restaurant, the roof top view was amazing and the atmosphere was electric, I was so relaxed that I can't even express. They had a salad bar, Brazilian specialties and Condiments, a desert spread, the barbecued meat was served at the table, and cut to your requirements. As you all know I'm not big on beef, but the well done beef I had was delicious, so for meat lovers this is the place to go. Overall this restaurant has a lot going for it, I would definitely go again but with the right company.
They served 15 types of beef cuts, the whole range from Loin, sirloin,round,flank,plate,shank,brisket,chuck and rib. Also all types of lamb and chicken. Meat lovers out there, you will get it served hot at your table, onto your plate and eat as much as you want.
Beware people you have to book in advance, the tables get reserved and unless you know how to wing it, like me you wont get in. I will explain how I winged it, when the girls told me they tried booking and couldn't get a table, I took control and told the girls lets wing it. They said anything to get a table, so I went to the hostess and said, "excuse me I have a table for Khan at 8.30". The hostess looked confused and said 'mam the're is no booking for you", I said "I'm sorry but I booked well in advance", so she walked us to a table outdoors. It was so humid outside and we started complaining,"we booked for a table inside" we said, since we were winging it and they bought it, all the girls became overly confident and started complaining. I couldn't stop laughing I mean we don't even have a booking, and were giving the waiters and manager a ear full.
For those of you who have never winged it, try because it never fails, well for me it doesn't. You have to be confident and adamant, only works then, well we finally got a great table inside and the fun began.
I can't tell you why we laughed so much, because that's out of hours chit chat hahaha, I'm sure you girls know what I mean. Meanwhile we were enjoying each others stories and company, they had live entertainment, and dancers with the Brazilian attire, it was very entertaining and worth every penny.
The dancers would come to couples and take the men to dance, I couldn't stop laughing, because my attention went to the wife's hahaha. The ladies enjoyed it as well, the dancers fed us fruit and danced us into Brazil.
The night was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I personally haven't enjoyed food and entertainment this much anywhere in Dubai. The dancers are not there all week, just on Friday and Saturdays. Fogueira's also has a brunch buy one get one free deal, every Friday and Saturday, it's 260 AED per person for Brunch and soft drinks all included. Prior reservation is required and subject to availability, unless your a winging master like me.

Anyway I'm off now to get ready and go out now, I know I changed my mind, thinking a trip to a cafe with a friend is calling me.
